Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

If you’re looking to add a little international flavor to your holiday celebrations this year, look no further than Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Featuring food, music, caroling, and traditions from around the world, it’s a great way to celebrate the season while also learning about global traditions. Check out some of the festival’s highlights below.

Experience Holiday Traditions from Around the World

As you make your way around the World Showcase, you’ll see holiday traditions come to life. Enjoy a street side concert in Mexico as the mariachi band plays local Christmas tunes, then visit with Julenissen, a mischievous gnome in Norway. In the UK, meet Father Christmas as he shares local holiday traditions and celebrate the New Year with talented dragon dancers in the China Pavilion. Stop by the America pavilion to hear the stories of Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, as well as a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Tasty Treats at Holiday Kitchens

Just like at Epcot’s other festivals, the International Festival of the Holidays features pop-up kitchens with unique dishes from around the world. Whether you’re looking for something sweet or savory, adventurous or comforting, you’re sure to find it here. Plus, you’ll enjoy delicious seasonal desserts and entrees at Epcot’s restaurants. Take a peek at the Disney website for the latest updates on menus before you go.

Evening Candlelight Processional

Once the sun goes down, enjoy a beautiful candlelight processional. A celebrity guest will read the biblical tale of Christmas then you’ll enjoy traditional carols sung by a choir and accompanied by an orchestra. In the past, guests have included Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, and Kurt Russell. Check Disney’s website for the latest information as well as upgrades for this event.

Holiday Fireworks Celebration

Wrap up your holiday celebration with a stunning fireworks show. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is an inspirational fireworks show that takes place over the lake in the middle of the park. You can watch the show from anywhere in the world showcase. Be sure to stick around until the end so you don’t miss its special seasonal finale that adds an extra touch of holiday magic.

If you find yourself feeling tired after a fun day of international holiday celebrations at Epcot, look no further than Clarion Inn at Lake Buena Vista.
