New Orlando Attractions Opening in 2021

A year of delays and closures has not stopped Orlando theme parks from developing and building amazing new attractions that Central Florida visitors and locals alike can look forward to. Whether it’s in the cozy, town-like atmosphere of Disney Springs, the epic worlds of Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure, or the aquatic majesty of Sea World: Orlando is preparing to unleash the escape you’ve been craving.

New Attractions Coming to Orlando Theme Parks

Here are three exciting, must-see Orlando attractions in the works for 2021:

  1. Ice Breaker Coaster. SeaWorld Orlando has quite the collection of unique rollercoasters, from the classic Journey to Atlantis to the prone-position Manta. Spring of 2021 welcomes yet another unique coaster to SeaWorld Orlando’s ranks with the Ice Breaker Coaster — the park’s first multi-directional rollercoaster with various launch angles that hosts a staggeringly steep one-hundred-degree drop.
  2. Jurassic World Velocicoaster. Coming to Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure, this evolved rollercoaster plans to deliver a heart-pumping, Velociraptor-themed experience based on the massively popular Jurassic Park film series. Riders can expect to twist and soar through the raptor paddock on this ride billed as “a new species of rollercoaster.” Guests can look forward to this prehistoric adrenaline rush to open by summer of 2021.
  3. Cirque du Soleil, “Drawn to Life.” The beloved, high-flying, musical stage productions of Cirque du Soleil are back at Disney Springs with a new original story that celebrates the beautiful history of Disney animation. “Drawn to Life” follows a young girl who taps into her childhood Disney memories for future inspiration. With aerial stunts and gorgeous music, this new collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and Disney Imagineering is sure to please the entire family. Currently, the opening date for this show’s debut is yet to be determined.
