Universal Orlando Hotel Reviews
Discover What Past Guests Have To Say About Our Orlando Resort
Enough talking about ourselves. While we consider ourselves one of the best family resorts in Orlando, it only matters if our guests agree. If you’re planning a visit to Rosen Inn on Orlando’s International Drive, we invite you to see us through the eyes of your fellow travelers by reading the hotel reviews below.
Our stay at the Rosen Inn Closest to Universal, 6327 International Drive, Orlando FL, 32819, was for 11 nights. We had a great time there! The staff at the Rosen was so customer-oriented! Whenever we contacted them, they were so pleasant, and they fulfilled our requests so quickly. The hotel offered great prices for a three-star hotel. This location was wonderful for going to Universal Studios with a free shuttle from the hotel four times in the morning and three times in the evening. Also, right in front of the hotel were stops for the I-Trolley, which ran every 15 minutes from one end of International Drive to the other end (approximately a 30-minute trip each way). The city bus also stopped right in front of the hotel. We did not need a rental car! We hope to return to the Orlando area in the future and look forward to staying at the Rosen Inn!
Stayed here twice in the last three years. We stayed at the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista last year as we were more Disney-based, but this year we did Universal, so we came back to this Rosen Inn in March for two weeks. All the staff that we came across are polite and helpful. The elevators are much quicker this year; super fast, so they must have been refreshed as the year before they were slow, so thumbs up for that. We stayed on the ninth floor; fantastic view of the Orlando area. The hotel has lots of parking, but if you’re visiting Universal Orlando Resort, you don’t need a car; 20-30 minutes easy walk or a free shuttle bus by the hotel. There’s also the I-Trolley bus, which is cheap, and Uber or Lyft is not expensive. The hotel has installed two EV charging stations, which is good with the expansion of EVs so they can easily fit in more charging stations. Rooms are clean and beds are made daily. My only complaint is that the floor could have been vacuumed more than once a week. My TV didn’t work; when I looked, the TV wire had fallen out the back and fallen apart, but after 10 minutes of fiddling with it, I plugged it in and it worked for the next two weeks, so, all good in the end. I didn’t want to bother the staff, but I’m sure they would have fixed it, but I like to try myself first. I would like to know if the hotel is recycling waste? We had so much plastic bottle waste and with the Orlando Premium Outlets so close, we did a lot of shopping, which generated lots of paper and plastic waste and over two weeks saw countless other people with big packs of water etc. Does this get recycled? I would recommend this hotel and will be returning. It’s great value for money, in a great location, has free Wi-Fi, is clean, and has nice staff.
Family fun at Shogun! What a fun night. If you are ever on I-Drive in Orlando, this place is a must-do! The food was absolutely delicious, and it was so entertaining. Orlando Must Do! Our chef Roland was truly entertaining!!!
Another great Rosen hotel. It’s closest to Universal and has three shuttles in the morning and three return shuttles in the afternoon and evening. The room was immaculate, with a comfortable king-sized bed, small loveseat, desk, and chair. Big TV. USB ports in the lamp. Tiny bathroom with bathtub and sink in foyer. More than enough towels. Balcony doors are sealed, and our 9th-floor view had a sunrise and lights from rides at night. There is a pool, but we came to go to Universal. There is a 24-hour store near the lobby with hundreds of snacks and microwave meals, as well as resort ware and souvenirs. There is also a sushi/hibachi restaurant, a small arcade, and a fitness room. All the staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is a paid buffet.
Yes, it’s no frills, but for the price with no resort fee when you barely spend any time in your room, it’s the best value. It’s the cleanest and friendliest hotel I’ve stayed at in Orlando, and you ignore that it’s not as sparkly as others for double the price with a resort fee and worse service.
Stayed here for two weeks, and the hotel was good for what I needed it for. Needed a place to lay my head after a long day around the parks and to freshen up before going for a meal in the evening. You have a restaurant there, which was OK. Shop for your needs. Staff was friendly and really willing to help whenever I needed it. Parking was easy as we got a car for the holiday. Bar was great and had a good vibe.
Myself and my daughter have just returned from a week’s stay at Rosen Inn Closest to Universal. We had a very pleasant stay. The beds are comfortable, there is a daily housekeeping service, and the place is clean. The hallways on floor 5 (possibly other floors too) need a lick of paint, but that’s the only negative I have. The shop in reception is very handy for late night snacks/drinks. The pool is OK; nothing spectacular but clean and a good size. It’s bigger than it appears in photos. The location is spot on! If you miss the shuttle to Universal, then it’s just a short, cheap taxi ride. It’s also close to SeaWorld (again, short journey in a taxi/Uber). There is an ATM on-site too. It’s also quiet at night; we slept well and woke up refreshed and ready to hit the parks.
We’ve been coming to Florida for the last 10 years and have always stayed at Universal properties. We booked this 7-day trip 2 months prior to our visit and decided to take a chance on the Rosen Inn at Universal. What can I say, this hotel was a perfect fit for our trip. Check-in was really easy. Yes the decor is dated, but it was very clean and our rooms were serviced every day. The room has everything you need, coffee maker, iron, microwave, fridge, TV, hairdryer and 2 very comfy beds, so comfy in fact it’s one of the comfiest beds we’ve ever slept in. The bathroom was really nice, good pressure from the shower. I’d highly recommend you stay here if you’re on a budget, it has all the amenities you need and being on International Drive you have easy access to shops, restaurants and more.
I am so impressed with this modestly priced hotel. Some of my family stayed at a Universal resort and this is about a 10-15 min walk from it. This was great because they needed help with the kids and if you even drive through the Universal parking lot, you have to pay a small fortune for parking fee. This hotel is actually walking distance to pretty much anything you’d need. The decor is a bit dated but I feel that the good service and the clean, functional rooms at this hotel have more impact than the latest decor. There are plenty of electrical outlets, shower water was nice and hot and water pressure was great. They have a mini fridge and microwave. They have a coffee maker but it uses those tiny little coffee pods, so if you're a coffee nut like me, plan accordingly. The front gate attendant is so pleasant and efficient. I felt welcomed and safe. Check-in was a breeze. I will for sure stay here again if I'm looking for a fair priced hotel with everything I need. I would say that this hotel offers the best overall value in the area.
