Postmodern Jukebox is a unique band known for its clever way of turning today’s pop hits into vintage music.

The band started in a basement in Astoria, New York, and struggled for years. In 2012, the band covered the song “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. The cover got over one million views in its first week, four million views within its first year, and reached number eight on the Billboard magazine jazz album chart. As the band grew more popular, they covered songs such as “We Can’t Stop,” “Blurred Lines,” and “Royals.”

As Opera Orlando closes for its Verdi season, its last show is Rigoletto.

The performance tells the story of Duke Mantua liking one of his servant’s daughters and how her father will do anything to have his revenge on the duke. The show will be in Italian with English supertitles and have members from the Opera Orlando Chorus and Orlando Ballet dancers.

The band is made up of pianist Jon Schmidt, cellist Steven Sharp Nelson, videographer Paul Anderson, and producer Al van der Beek. They started off in 2011 posting videos of their piano and cello compositions of pop songs, classical music, and their original music. In 2020, they passed 2 billion views on YouTube, gained 6.7 million subscribers, and even reached number one on the Billboard Classical Albums.

Because of his popular music, he has been able to travel all around the world and even performed for royals like Prince Charles.

A shortened version of the whimsical winter tale, this show is best for families with little ones who might not be able to sit through the entire full-length Nutcracker production. A limited run of two dates: Saturday, December 5, and Saturday, December 12, 2020, are scheduled at this time.
  3. Sleeping Beauty. Based on the classic fairy tale of true love, witness the enchanting world of Sleeping Beauty come to life as the good fairies and Prince Desiree fight to counter the curse of a jealous fairy that leaves Princess Aurora in an eternal slumber. This performance is available for one day only, Monday, December 21, 2020, with two showtimes at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
