Whether you want a mild or wild spring break, Orlando has lots to offer. New theme park attractions and food festivals mean excitement is just around the corner. As you plan your Orlando spring break adventures, here are the top 10 things to do during spring break.

10. Theme Park Thrills

This spring break, you can be one of the first to ride Ice Breaker, the soon-to-be newest roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando. Perfect for thrill seekers, this steel coaster features a 93-foot-tall spike that will have you curving at a 100-degree angle! Ice Breaker will open in February 2022. (Here’s a cool unofficial recreation.)

Continue exploring newly unveiled rides at Universal’s Islands of Adventure with VelociCoaster where you become a part of the pack and run through the jungle with other Velociraptors. There’s never a dull moment on this wild roller coaster!

If you are looking for something a little more chill instead of a thrill, try out the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride at Disney World’s EPCOT. Shrink down to the size of a rat and follow Chef Remy along on an exciting 4D adventure.

9. Shop ‘Til You Drop

If shopping sounds like your ideal spring break vacation, then plan to spend some time at Disney Springs. Here you’ll find the perfect gift and souvenirs.

In addition to shopping, Disney Springs provides live entertainment every evening and fun dining options. Consider Pizza Ponte where you can enjoy Sicilian-style pizza or The Edison, a classy eatery with upscale cuisine.

If you’re looking for more name brands, visit the Mall at Millenia. From GameStop to Gucci, this mall has all your shopping needs. If you want an outdoor mall shopping experience, try Orlando Outlet Marketplace. This outdoor mall is located only 5 minutes away from Rosen Inn.

8. Play Like the Pros

Practice your golf swing at our 18-hole Shingle Creek Golf Club, a championship golf course located at Rosen Shingle Creek. This course is the work of the Arnold Palmer Design Company. Book that tee time now before the other golfers on spring break get to it first.

After playing your own round, cheer on some of the world’s best golfers at the Arnold Palmer Invitational just minutes away.

Now it’s time to put another type of driving skill to the test at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games. A multilevel indoor track and powerful SODI RTX karts give you an authentic race experience you won’t find anywhere else.

7. Spring Break Classic: Relax at the Beach

One of the top places to visit during spring break is the beach. Sunbathers and surfers alike head out to the shore to soak up some sun during their vacation. Lucky for you, Florida has plenty of beaches.

The closest beach to Orlando is Cocoa Beach. Learn to surf at Cocoa Beach Surf School, then practice your skills on the water. You’ll be a pro in no time.

Another option on the other side of Florida is Clearwater Beach. As the name boasts, this beach has beautiful, clear water and white, sandy beaches. Pull up a chair or lay out a towel to enjoy this gorgeous beach.

6. Explore I-Drive Favorites

Still looking for thrills? Try indoor skydiving at iFLY. An indoor wind tunnel lets you experience skydiving in a safe, controlled environment.

After all that excitement, head next door to cool off at ICEBAR Orlando. Staff will provide you with a thermal coat and gloves, which you’ll need since everything in here is made of ice, even the glasses. Next, head to the Fire Lounge to warm up with some snacks and drinks. This is truly an experience you won’t forget.

Another International Drive favorite is the phenomenon of escape rooms. This is the perfect opportunity to test your mental fortitude.

There are many rooms to visit with different themes and skills of difficulty. If you are celebrating spring break with family or a group of friends, this is an especially great activity where you can have fun and find out how well you work together under pressure!

5. Party Like There’s No Tomorrow at Mardi Gras

Live it up this spring break at Universal Orlando Mardi Gras! Bring your beads and head to this Mardi Gras celebration to enjoy parades, concerts, and more. Watch as dazzling floats pass you by or sing along with your favorite artists at the live concerts.

All the partying got you a little hungry? Try some authentic New Orleans food and specialty drinks around Universal to get into the Mardi Gras mood.

4. Wine and Dine

Want to add some wine to your dine? Try out Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant for an unforgettable experience. With so many wines to choose from, try a wine flight to enjoy multiple. They also have a variety of different food options and wine pairings to go with each one.

If you’re feeling lazy during your spring break, there’s no need to leave Rosen Inn for food when we have our own delicious restaurant. The chefs at Shogun Japanese Steakhouse cook and entertain on a hibachi grill right in front of you. You can also enjoy sushi, appetizers, and drinks.

Insider Tip: Our other Rosen Hotels & Resorts have great dining options as well!

There is a similar event at SeaWorld called the Seven Seas Food Festival. Dine on a multitude of eats, drinks, and craft beers. There is something for everyone here.

If you are a fan of delicious food, you don’t want to miss these festivals!

2. Explore the Outdoors this Spring Break

Orlando isn’t all theme parks. There are so many great activities in the outdoors as well.

Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park has a variety of outdoor activities for you to enjoy during your spring break vacation. Climb through the forest across bridges, swings, ropes, nets, and more. After testing your strength in the obstacle courses, head to the zip line for a thrilling ride through the trees.

Want to take your adventure out on the water? Wild Florida has the airboat tour for you. Glide along the swampy wetlands of Florida while you try to spot alligators. After searching for alligators on the boat, head to the Gator Park, which is included with your tour.
