As if just one 4th of July fireworks show wasn’t enough, there are actually three different celebrations taking place in and around Kissimmee. City neighbors Celebration and St. Cloud are both hosting their own Independence Day festivities, and all three events will bring a different feel to the traditional patriotic holiday.

Kissimmee

The City of Kissimmee hosts its annual Monumental 4th of July Celebration at the Kissimmee Lakefront Park. The event features live music, food trucks, and a fireworks show in true American spirit. While you’re here, check out the Monument of States, a 50-foot tower made of pieces of old buildings from around the entire United States of America.

Celebration

Celebration is one of the most unique towns you’ll ever have the chance to visit. Designed in the 90s by Disney in the spirit of New Urbanism, the community almost looks like it could be a movie set rather than an actual town (Seaside, FL, a town similarly designed on New Urbanist principles, was the set of 1998’s The Truman Show). This manicured town lives up to its name every Independence Day though, coming together for a Star Spangled Spectacular that kicks off in the morning with a parade and closes with a festive fireworks show over the lake in the center of downtown Celebration.

St. Cloud

It is remarkable how St. Cloud can be so close to a major city like Orlando and still provide a small-town feel when you drive through it. If you are here on vacation and perhaps missing home a bit, St. Cloud is the perfect cure for your homesick blues. Their 4th of July lakefront celebration promotes their small-town character and values and is a great way to spend your holiday evening.
