Warm up at Universal’s Volcano Bay™

After enduring a brutal winter of endless snow and sub-freezing temperatures, it’s time to celebrate the arrival of summer with a tropical vacation. Defrost at Universal’s Volcano Bay™, Orlando’s newest water park. Read on for some of the top spots at Universal’s Volcano Bay™ that will help chase away the winter blues.

Relax at Waturi Beach

After a long winter spent huddled indoors, it’s time to soak up those sun rays. Stretch out on Waturi Beach and get your dose of Vitamin D. Go for a swim among the gentle waves or find shade in the shadow of Krakatau™, the giant active volcano with many waterfalls.

Climb Krakatau™

Once you’re ready for some thrills, venture up the majestic 200-foot volcano. In Krakatau™ you’ll find four of the park’s best attractions that will have you sliding and splashing in the crystal-clear waters.

  • Krakatau™ Aqua Coaster
You won’t want to miss the park’s signature attraction. This watery roller coaster takes you up the volcano’s dark, winding pathways and finishes with a thrilling drop down a beautiful waterfall.
  • Ko’okiri Body Plunge
Test your bravery on this 125-foot slide. You’ll be filled with anticipation as you wait for the trap door to let you plunge down the 70 degree drop. Before you know it you’ll be whooshing down the volcano.
  • Punga Racers
This ride is a favorite of the young and the young at heart. Race three other riders on mantra ray mats as you slide through underwater sea caves. The first racer to finish receives a special salute from the legendary hero, Punga.
  • Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides
These twin slides drop you from high atop the volcano in clear, intertwining tubes. The slides twist and twirl around each other for a zippy ride all the way to the bottom of the volcano.

Play at Runamukka Reef

If you are traveling with youngsters, you’ll want to visit Runamukka Reef. This whimsical play area is the perfect place to forget about the long winter as you play with water guns, slides, and geysers. For even younger kids, Tot Tiki Reef is right next door. This is the ideal spot for families with young children to rent a cabana for the day.

If you are still craving more splashy fun in the sun after your day at Universal’s Volcano Bay™, don’t fret.
