Epcot’s 2017 Food & Wine Festival

Each year Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival seems to grow larger and more popular, and this year is no exception. This year’s Food & Wine Festival is set to be the longest one to date, running from epcot food and wine festivalAugust 31 all the way through November 13. At two weeks longer than last year, the extra time gives folks even more time to take in the fantastic Florida weather while sampling dishes and treats from all over the world.

Not only has the festival grown in length this year, but there will be a record number of booths as well. Thirty-five marketplace booths in Future World and World Showcase will commemorate Epcot’s 35th anniversary, which falls on October 1, 2017. Fan favorites will make a return this year along with many new options to excite your taste buds, including the return of the booths for India and Spain, which haven’t been seen since 2011.

The Food

In addition to the return of some of these most-loved kiosks, 2017 will see the return of a popular dish from Mexico, the rib eye taco. We’re excited to see what other items are making a comeback as well.

Some of the newest additions to the Food & Wine Festival lineup include:

  • Active Eats – This booth highlights decadently loaded macaroni and cheese with peppered bacon, cheddar cheese, peppers, and onions.
  • Flavors From Fire – Anyone who’s a fan of spice will want to visit this booth. Flavorful dishes inspired by Korean cuisine are on the menu here. This new addition is sure to become a hit.
  • Light Lab Beverage – No Food & Wine Festival would be complete without alcohol. The new Light Lab Beverage booth pours “bubbly drafts and spirited concoctions” created by professional mixologists for a truly unique experience.
  • Almond Orchard – This unique booth, sponsored by Blue Diamond Almonds, showcases a wide variety of almond-inspired dishes and beverages.

In addition to the fantastic food options, Epcot hosts their usual wine classes in the Festival Center. Attend presentations from winemakers and viticulturists from all over the world. As usual, proper wine pairings are available at various booths around the festival.

This year’s Food & Wine Festival is shaping up to be one of the best yet, with plenty of fresh flavors mixed in with tried and true favorites.
