Since 1961, Harry P. Leu Gardens has been a place to take in the beauty of centuries-old oak trees that cascade over winding walkways that lead to a gorgeous botanical garden, all just minutes from downtown Orlando. The home to Florida’s largest rose garden and the historic home of Harry P. Leu, the gardens create a romantic atmosphere perfect for a movie date night.
Once a month from February to December, Leu Gardens hosts a movie night at their floral clock on a massive 32 ft. screen. The movie of choice for their upcoming October movie night is Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them – a perfect film to cozy up to that special someone as we enter Florida’s lovely fall season.
Some tips to keep in mind to make your movie night perfect:
- The movie takes place inside the garden, so bring lawn chairs or a blanket to make sure you stay comfortable.
- The gardens open early at 6 p.m. on movie night, giving you plenty of time to take in the sights before the film starts.
- You may bring your own dinner or picnic basket, or get a bite to eat from Curbie’s Sidewalk Café and Shadrach’s Fiery Furnace Pizza. Season Pops is open as well, selling popsicles and popcorn if you’re in the mood for a snack.
- Admission to the garden is $6 per adult and $3 for each child from 5-17 years of age. Existing garden members receive free movie admission. Major credit cards are accepted.
