Orlando Philharmonic March Concerts

In spring of 2021 the Orlando Philharmonic will host three dynamic performances throughout Orlando that range from classical enchantment and mesmerizing immersion to bombastic, recognizable fanfare. Here is what you can expect at the amazing Orlando Philharmonic concerts that are sure to blow audiences away in The City Beautiful this March.

Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto

On Monday, March 1, 2021, at 7 p.m., the Orlando Philharmonic is scheduled to present Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto at The Plaza Live. The concert will be conducted by Corrado Rovaris and will feature Colton Peltier on the piano. The program includes:

  • Vasks – “Epifania” for string orchestra
  • Beethoven – Piano Concerto No.5 “Emperor”
  • Mozart – Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter”

John Williams: Big Screen Blockbusters

On Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 7:30 p.m., the Orlando Philharmonic will be presenting “John Williams: Big Screen Blockbusters” at Calvary Orlando. Conducted by Michael Krajewski and featuring the University of Central Florida Choirs, the concert will include music composed by Academy-Award winner John Williams from films like E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Hook, Saving Private Ryan, and more. Hopefully, they play something from Star Wars.

Deep Field: The Impossible Magnitude of Our Universe

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 7:30 p.m., the Orlando Philharmonic presents “Deep Field: The Impossible Magnitude of Our Universe” at Calvary Orlando. Featuring Edgar Meyer on bass and Sam Bacco on PVC pipe, Eric Jacobsen-conducted concert will include the following selections:

  • Mozart – “The Marriage of Figaro Overture”
  • Edgar Meyer – “Bass Concerto No. 2” (World Premiere)
  • Beethoven – “Coriolan Overture”
  • Whitacre – “Deep Field”
