Tedeschi Trucks Band’s History
Before the Tedeschi Trucks Band, also known as TTB, became a now 12-member ensemble and family, guitarist Derek Trucks and vocalist-guitarist Susan Tedeschi pursued their solo careers in blues, jazz, and gospel while being happily married. In 2010, the couple ambitiously chased their dream by starting an 8-member band, hitting the road, and gracing the country with epic rock-n-roll tunes that push the limits of the genre.
TTB has produced several Grammy-winning albums, including their Best Blues Album-winning debut Revelator (2011) featuring “Midnight in Harlem,” and Grammy-nominated albums such as 2017’s album/film release Live From The Fox Oakland.
Signs 2021 Tour at the Dr. Phillips Center
The band’s 2021 tour will feature special guests Southern Avenue, a unique American blues and gospel band that takes their name from the heart of Memphis. Tickets to see Southern Avenue open for TTB start at $39.75. Experience them both live at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Walt Disney Theater on August 17, 2021, at 8:00 p.m.
