Classic Ballets for the Whole Family
With three ballet performances to choose from, there is plenty of captivating holiday spirit for you and your family to enjoy during your stay in The City Beautiful. Here are details on the amazing ballets that are available to witness throughout December at Dr. Phillips Center:
- The Nutcracker. The timeless and beloved holiday ballet is scheduled to run this season Friday, December 4 – Sunday, December 13, 2020. Watch and listen as the imaginative staging and Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score transport you to the magical land inside Clara’s dreams. Can she and the Nutcracker navigate through a winter wonderland of dancing candy to defeat the meddlesome Mouse King? Early booking is recommended. Show times may vary.
- The Nutcracker – A Family Show. A shortened version of the whimsical winter tale, this show is best for families with little ones who might not be able to sit through the entire full-length Nutcracker production. A limited run of two dates: Saturday, December 5, and Saturday, December 12, 2020, are scheduled at this time.
- Sleeping Beauty. Based on the classic fairy tale of true love, witness the enchanting world of Sleeping Beauty come to life as the good fairies and Prince Desiree fight to counter the curse of a jealous fairy that leaves Princess Aurora in an eternal slumber. This performance is available for one day only, Monday, December 21, 2020, with two showtimes at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
