Since 2014, the Dr. Phillips Center has hosted thousands of concerts and events. From Broadway shows to comedy tours, the performing arts venue entertains patrons all year long. Here are the incredible shows taking place at the Dr. Phillips Center in October.

Nurse Blake: The PTO Comedy Tour – Saturday, October 2, 2021

Born and raised in Orlando, Nurse Blake takes his experience as a registered nurse and transforms it into comedy by highlighting the hard work of health care providers through interactive and entertaining sketches. Nurse Blake is bringing the “PTO Comedy Tour” to the Walt Disney Theater at 8 p.m. on October 2. Tickets for the age 18 and over show start at $35.

Tom Segura – Sunday, October 3, 2021

Actor, comedian and writer Tom Segura is no stranger to the stage.

With four Netflix comedy specials, roles in films such as Instant Family, and television appearances on The Late Late Show and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Segura is quickly becoming a household name in comedy. He’s performing his “I’m Coming Everywhere World Tour” twice on October 3 inside the Walt Disney Theater. Segura’s first show is at 6 p.m., and the second one begins at 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $43.75.

Alejandro Sanz: La Gira 2021 – Thursday, October 14, 2021

Alejandro Sanz is an incredibly talented and celebrated Spanish pop artist.

Over the course of 30 years, Sanz has collaborated with some of the most popular Latin, R&B, and pop artists including Shakira, Destiny’s Child, and Alicia Keys. He’s also the Spanish artist with the most Grammy awards of all time.

Sanz’s “La Gira” tour makes a stop at the Walt Disney Theater at 8 p.m. on October 14. Tickets start at $59.75.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour – Saturday, October 16, 2021

One of the most popular video game franchises of all time, Final Fantasy VII Remake was released in April 2020 as a remastered version of the 1997 PlayStation classic.

This concert, performed by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, showcases brand new arrangements of the game’s music by composer Nobuo Uematsu. Grammy-award-winning conductor Arnie Roth will lead more than 100 musicians while video scenes from the game are projected behind the orchestra. The concert starts at 8 p.m. on October 16 in the Walt Disney Theater. Tickets start at $39.75.

Bill Maher – Sunday, October 17, 2021

For more than four decades, Bill Maher has bridged the gap between politics and comedy.

You may best know Maher for his two long-running television shows, Politically Incorrect and Real Time. Did you know he’s also penned five books and producing 10 comedy specials for HBO? Watch his newest material at his October 17th show at the Walt Disney Theater, which begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $45.

The Price Is Right Live! – Sunday, October 24, 2021

Come on down!

By popular demand, the hit CBS interactive game show, The Price Is Right, is hosting a live show at the Dr. Phillip’s Center’s Walt Disney Theater on October 24. Starting at 7:30 p.m., game enthusiasts of all ages will witness a nail-biting showdown as lucky contestants play popular games like Plinko and The Big Wheel to earn prizes ranging from an exclusive overseas vacation or a brand-new car to $12 million in cash. Tickets start at $39.50.

Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata: An Opera in Three Acts – Friday, October 29, and Sunday, October 31

Opera Orlando’s 2021–22 season is themed around opera legend Giuseppe Verdi.

His classic opera “La Traviata” gets a modern twist for these performances as it is set in underworld New York. Stephanie Rhodes Russell will make her Opera Orlando debut as a conductor, and Cecilia Violetta López will play the main role of Violetta. The Opera Orlando Chorus and Orlando Ballet will also be joining the stage to round out the cast.

“La Traviata” will be sung in Italian and have English supertitles. The first showing is October 29 at 7:30 p.m., and the second show is at 2 p.m. on October 31. Tickets for “La Traviata” start at just $19.
