After 19 years at Disney Springs, Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba took its final bow on December 31, 2017. Since that day, Cirque fans have been eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the new resident show at Disney Springs. In August 2019, we found out that a new show would premier in spring 2020. As that date approaches, we are learning more details about the new Cirque du Soleil show.
Cirque du Soleil and Disney – Drawn to Life
On December 10, 2019, Cirque du Soleil revealed on their official Twitter account that Drawn to Life will be the new show at Disney Springs. It’s the 50th original production by Cirque du Soleil and will be a brand new experience for fans. As a collaborative effort between Cirque and Disney, Drawn to Life aims to capture the magic of Disney animation and the gravity-defying feats of Cirque artists. Drawn to Life introduces us to Julie, a young girl who discovers an unfinished animation piece left to her by her father. In her attempts to complete the animation, she goes on a journey filled with Disney childhood memories.
