There are many attractions to see in Orlando, especially around the theme parks. It can be overwhelming when planning a trip to the Sunshine State for fear of missing out on something fun. However, we’re here to help you not overlook some local gems in the Orlando area, for example, the new Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in the heart of Downtown Orlando.
If you’re into the theater, ballet, art, or music, you’ll want to check out the Dr. Phillips Center. With a mixture of free events and concerts, or popular musicals and ballets, this new performing arts center has something for everyone. On October 28-30, you can check out Dracula performed by the world-famous Orlando Ballet. Based off of the 1897 novel by Bram Stoker, this show combines both dramatic and expressive choreography. With a beautiful score by Philip Feeney, larger-than-life sets, and incredible costumes, Dracula is sure to be a hit.
If ballets aren’t your cup of tea, check out some of the other amazing shows and acts coming to the Dr. Phillips Center this month:
- Orlando Philharmonic: Great American Songbook – Oct. 22
- Ritz Chamber Players (free show) – Oct. 22
- Lindsey Sterling – Oct. 29
- Magic Men Live! – Oct. 30
