Orlando can be described as less of a city and more of a collection of suburbs. You’ve got Audubon Park, SoDo, Ivanhoe Village, Mills 50, and College Park, to name a few. Each of these districts has a unique vibe, a stamp of personality that sets it apart from the next. Orlando Main Streets takes 10 of these neighborhoods and brings their local small businesses together to help support each other. Restaurant Week, the annual event held in the first full week of August, promotes the culinary side of Orlando Main Streets.
Restaurants are encouraged to offer a limited prix fixe menu at specific price points across lunch and dinner with a maximum of $30 for a meal. Following the trends from previous events, you can expect this year’s Restaurant Week to run sometime around the week of August 5, although no official date has been announced yet.
As with the dates for the event, official participating restaurants have not yet been listed, but there are a few popular spots that have participated every year so far. Standouts include Maxine’s on Shine, Mesa 21, Kres Chophouse, The Soda Fountain, and Hawkers Asian Street Fare. A full list of participants in previous years can be found online here: https://www.orlandomainstreets.com/restaurantweek/.
Bring your inner foodie out on your vacation this August and visit some of these restaurants during your time here in Orlando. Rosen Inn Closest to Universal provides convenient access to Orlando’s major highways, allowing you to easily get to any of these restaurants for a meal.
