The news has been buzzing about new, innovative theme park attractions that have recently broken ground and others that are set to open in time for the vacation season. As we count down to the New Year, we also keep count of the top five most anticipated new experiences.
5. The Great LEGO Race at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort
This is not a drill, LEGO-enthusiasts! The coaster, previously known as “Project X,” has been piecing together an all-new virtual reality experience, The Great LEGO Race! This unique ride hands the wheel to kids as they battle and race against the best of the best in all of LEGO world in this virtual reality roller coaster designed just for children.
4. Ray Rush at Aquatica Orlando®
Aquatica, SeaWorld’s waterpark in Orlando, is starting off the year right with a brand new thrilling water adventure, Ray Rush! This exciting family raft slide is unlike anything the park has previously created and is scheduled to debut Spring of 2018.
3. Infinity Falls at SeaWorld Orlando®
Speaking of making a splash, SeaWorld Orlando will open its first rapids ride in summer 2018! With the desire to expand its storytelling to include tales that extend beyond our oceans, SeaWorld introduces us to a mysterious and thrilling rainforest river. Jump into a raft and navigate the treacherous rapids at your own risk as you approach the world tallest rapid drop!
2. Fast and Furious: Supercharged at Universal Orlando Resort™
This popular movie franchise is racing off the big screen and into the theme parks! The action-packed attraction is sure to kick your adrenaline into high gear as you join your favorite Fast and Furious characters on an adventure you’ll never forget. Get ready to join the family April 2018.
1. Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Stepping away from the single attraction aspect, Disney is opening a brand new land at Hollywood Studios dedicated to everyone’s favorite toys! Experience the joy of being a toy with two new attractions and plenty of fun surprises for the whole family to enjoy. Join Woody, Buzz, Slinky-dog, and the rest of the gang in Toy Story Land opening Summer 2018.
