Since September 2016, the Arts & Culture subcommittee has sought to enhance, improve, and celebrate various organizations’ commitment and dedication to the Winter Park art community.
Central Florida locals love walking alongside the brick-paved streets, enjoying outside activities at the parks, hanging with their pets, indulging in tasty cuisine and drinks, and experiencing the art that makes Winter Park famous.
If you are an art lover visiting Orlando the third weekend in February, make sure to check out Winter Park’s Weekend of the Arts taking place Friday, February 15 through Monday, February 18. The 2nd annual celebration will include live performances, special exhibits, and fun events at more than 20 art and culture locations throughout downtown Winter Park.
From a night of foot stomping courtesy of Svetlana & The Delancey Five and jazz music performed by brothers Peter and Will Anderson to a “Body Snatchers: Death in Culture” exhibit, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Most events are free. Even the Morse Museum and the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens are waving admission on specific days. Other events require paid admission, such as the theatrical performance of “Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show.” For event times and days, view the calendar here.
