Every year on Father’s Day, I treat Dad to brunch at Palms Dining. We have kept this tradition since I was a little child. It’s like a family reunion when we go because the servers recognize us. After we finish breakfast, we usually head to Universal Orlando® Resort for the day. Doctor Doom’s Fearfall and the Revenge of the Mummy have been favorites for a while. Now we’ve added Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. Our new favorite way to travel between Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure is on the Hogsmeade Express. It’s the little things like this that make such great memories for us.
We always end Father’s Day at Shogun’s Japanese Steakhouse. We love sitting around and watching the chef prepare our meals right before our eyes. Our newest favorite treat that you should try is the Sakura Sushi Rainbow Plate. You can’t go wrong with this dish.
Dad loves these traditions of ours, and they’re also some of my favorite activities I share with my dad that we can do on and around International Drive. What about you and your father? If you’re a father, what are some of the traditions you and your family have that create wonderful memories? I’d love to hear what you love to do with your dad around the area.
