Shopping is something you absolutely cannot miss when visiting Orlando. In fact, two malls in Orlando made Fortune magazine’s Top 10 Malls in the Country. Every brand you can imagine is available right at your fingertips: Michael Kors®, Jimmy Choo™, Burberry®, Coach™, Nike®, and Oakley®, just to name a few. Before you go crazy at the shops, here are a few suggestions to help you shop wisely.
Research the outlet malls on social media. Here you often can find great “friends and family” discounts not available in person and info about flash sales that are otherwise not advertised. Check out the outlet mall’s website as well for online coupons that you can exchange for exclusive savings opportunities.
One of the most popular outlet malls is the Orlando Premium Outlets®. There are two separate locations with the same name, so be sure to check the directory of the location you plan on visiting to make sure they have what you’re looking for. The Premium Outlets® location on Vineland Avenue houses 150 brands including Burberry®, Coach™, Gap®, Nike®, and more. Something to remember at this location is that it tends to be extremely crowded. Parking can be difficult to say the least.
Less than 10 miles from the Orlando Premium Outlets® location on Vineland Avenue is the International Drive location, the largest outlet center in town. Shop 180 popular designer and name-brand outlet stores like Coach™, Lacoste®, North Face®, and more. Traffic tends to be very congested here as well so plan for extra time for parking and leaving. Outlet shopping tends to be quite popular on rainy days, which brings us to another tip: bring rain gear as the outlet malls are outdoors.
Orlando is home to nearly limitless options when it comes to shopping. There’s no way you’ll be going home empty handed. Rosen Inn is located conveniently a few miles from the outlet malls, right on International Drive, which makes for a rewarding vacation near the center of Orlando’s shopping mecca.
